I ordered this because I had heard about Benjamin Rush in a few of your DVD’s and wanted to know more about him. The book was well written, easy to read, and full of first hand quotes from the subjects own writing and speeches. He was an amazing man who is sadly neglected in most history books – and so multi-talented! All Americans should become familiar with this founding father and be inspired by his unceasing energy and striving for God’s principles to be the foundation of many of our early institutions and policies. It was particularly interesting to see how he faced some of the same “intellectual” (really atheistic) opposition we encounter today. God raised up this extraordinary man for just such a time – may we be challenged by his example.
