Rev. John Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg (Mouse Pad)

With the Scriptural mandate, “There is a time for war and a time for peace,” Reverend John Muhlenberg led some 300 members of his congregation to become the Eighth Virginia Regiment. He was one of many patriots who were also Christians, protecting freedom as the gift of God. Rev. Muhlenberg went on to be a member of the first Congress and a framer of the Bill of Rights.
